King Brothers

King Brothers
The King Brothers, Alex and Derek King, who are released this week. Alex and Derek King were found guilty nearly 10 years ago at age 12 and 13 (photo above) for the death of their father, Terry King. The influence of Rick Chavis on the boys at the time became part of speculation in the case. The case drew out questions like how a neighbor could drive two boys to take the life of their father. Was there an abuse of emotion towards their father by Chavis? And will we every know? Watch below the interview of Alex and Derek King with NBC.
king brothers were only 12 and 13 respectively, when on Nov, 2001 they killed their father in his Cantonment, Florida. They killed him with a baseball bat and then set the house afire to conceal evidence of the slaying. The whole nation was shocked and with further revelation, the sick story became even more so when it was revealed that the kids’ neighbor Rick Chavis had convinced them to commit the murder of their father so that he could continue a sexual relationship with the younger brother.
The two boys soon confessed that they had killed their father. Alex claimed that he had thought up the bizarre plan, and Derek said that he had been the one who had swung the bat. Although the boys had been charged with first-degree murder, the jury was allowed by law to find them guilty of a lesser charge—which they did. and now, at the age of 18, after serving 6 years in the prison, Alex came out only recently as a free man. This ghastly news reminded us of the dreadful news once again.

Obama school speech Time

Obama school speech Time
HEALTH CARE: Vacation's over and President Obama and Congress are moving forward at full speed on health care this week. The president was back in campaign mode Monday -"fired up, ready to go" - during his Labor Day speech to the AFL-CIO in Cincinnati and he continues readying for his speech to a joint session of Congress Wednesday night where he promises more specifics about exactly what he's looking for re: health care reform.
The president tossed out some red meat to the pro-Democratic AFL-CIO yesterday by calling out Republicans on health care. "I've got a question for all these folks who say, you know, we're going to pull the plug on Grandma, and this is all about illegal immigrants -- you've heard all the lies," Mr. Obama said. "I've got a question for all those folks: What are you going to do? What's your answer? What's your solution? And you know what? They don't have one."
But while he directed that criticism to his political opponents, it's some in his own party – especially moderate Democratic senators and Blue Dog Democrats in the House – that are gumming up the works. The Hill's Mike Soraghan and Michael M. Gleeson report "At least 23 House Democrats already have told constituents or hometown media that they oppose the massive healthcare overhaul touted by President Barack Obama.

Ron Bloom

Ron Bloom
Ron Bloom From Auto Czar to Manufacturing Czar According to Mike Allen at Politico Playbook, the White House will issue a news release later today about Ron Bloom taking on new responsibilities: So this Administration is branching out from micromanaging the automotive industry — it will try to set industrial policy for the entire manufacturing sector? Washington cannot import or appoint enough pinheads to understand the vast and varied manufacturing sector of the American economy.

“Today, President Obama will announce that Ron Bloom will serve as the Administration’s Senior Counselor for Manufacturing Policy. Working closely with the National Economic Council, Bloom will provide leadership on policy development and strategic planning for the President’s agenda to revitalize the manufacturing sector. He will work with departments and agencies across the administration – including the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, Energy, and Labor – to integrate existing programs and develop new initiatives affecting the manufacturing sector. Bloom will retain his role as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury assigned to the President’s Task Force on the Automotive Industry.”
Bloom, a former vice president of Lazard Freres and Co. LLC, was actually a “restructuring expert” for the US Steelworkers. The appointment of Bloom comes soon after the resignation of Van Jones, the former advisor of the White House. Bloom will now work with the National Economic Council, and the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, Energy and Labor. According to the sources, in a statement that is supposed to be released on Monday, the US President Barack Obama will officially announce the appointment of Ron Bloom as the Senior Counselor for the Manufacturing Policy.
