Famed NFL quarterback Steve McNair was found dead today in Tennessee, alongside him was 20-year-old Saleh Kazemi, both suffered fatal gunshot wounds. According to reports, Saleh Kazemi and Steve McNair had a relationship that could be described as dating, even though McNair is married, and Saleh Kazemi has a boyfriend named Keith. Saleh Kazemi’s sister told the Florida Times-Union that McNair had planned to leave his wife so that he and Saleh may be together. Apparently McNair and his wife had already been living separately. Saleh’s sister also describes her as “independent, outgoing, and very strong.”

The quarterback was shot twice in the head and twice in the chest, an autopsy showed, and his death has formally been ruled a homicide. His girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi, had a single gunshot wound to her head.

News on the deaths was scarce at first, said The Inquisitr, but the details that have trickled out make it sound like Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi may have died in a murder-suicide. Police have ruled McNair's death a homicide -- he was shot twice in the head and twice in the body. "So far, this situation has all the earmarks of of a love triangle gone bad."

Police aren't jumping to any conclusions, said Theresa M. Walker in the Associated Press. Right now, the only thing clear about the deaths of Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi is that a young woman and one of professional football's more respected quarterbacks are gone. McNair endeareed himself to fans with his "blue-collar playing style" and with his charity work. The circumstances of McNair's death revealed he wasn't perfect, but remember, said longtime friend Robert Gaddy, "we just lost a great member of society."

Steve McNair, former NFL quarterback, was found dead with a woman. Steve McNair was shot to death and Steve McNair dead case is still under investigation. Police spokesman Don Aaron said officials tentatively identified the woman with Steve McNair, but did not release her name. He confirmed she wasn’t Steve McNair’s wife, Mechelle. He said authorities were still investigating the shootings and that no suspects were in custody.

The 36-year-old Steve McNair, known as “Air” McNair in a 13-season NFL career that ended with his retirement in April of last year, was a former quarterback for the Nashville-based Tennessee Titans. Steve McNair began his NFL career in 1995 with the Houston Oilers, who eventually became the Titans, and finished with 31,304 yards passing and 174 touchdowns. Steve McNair played with pain for several years, and the injuries ultimately forced him to retire.

Steve McNair, a four-time Pro Bowler, led the Titans within a yard of forcing overtime in the 2000 Super Bowl, which they lost 23-16 to the St. Louis Rams. Steve McNair also played for the Baltimore Ravens before retiring in April 2008. Steve McNair most noted drive, the last one in that Super Bowl, came when he led the Titans 87 yards in the final minute and 48 seconds, only to come up a yard short of the tying touchdown. Kevin Dyson caught his 9-yard pass, but was tackled at the 1-yard line by the Rams’ Mike Jones.

Michelle Nair was Steve McNair’s wife (name often misspelled Michelle McNair). Photos, video and a biography of the wife (original name was Mechelle Cartwright) of the former Tennessee Titans quarterback who was tragically killed on July 4, 2009 are below. The late Steve McNair (picture above), 36, was shot multiple times and killed in Nashville, Tennessee, along with a woman who has now been identified as Sahel Kazemi, 20, shot once in the head and killed.

Don Aaron, a spokesman for the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department did not classify the incident which is under investigation. A law enforcement source told CNN that that it is believed that Sahel Kazemi was the girlfriend of late quarterback also known as Steve Air McNair.
