Nate McLouth

The Atlanta Braves acquired All-Star center fielder Nate McLouth from the Pittsburgh Pirates for three minor leaguers Wednesday, a move to beef up Atlanta's offense in hopes of contending in the NL East. The 27-year-old McLouth was an All-Star last season and set career highs with a .276 average, 26 homers and 94 RBIs. The Braves desperately needed more offense from an outfield that produced only 10 homers through the first 51 games.
It was a day of big moves for Atlanta. The trade was announced less than an hour after the Braves released 305-game winner Tom Glavine, saying they didn't feel the 43-year-old had shown during three minor league rehab assignments that he could still be effective in the big leagues.
The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Nate McLouth to Atlanta in exchange for three prospects, according to a statement released by the Braves. Outfield prospect Gorkys Hernandez and pitching prospects Charlie Morton and Jeff Locke are headed to Pittsburgh in return for McLouth. It's not surprising to see the Braves acquire some outfield help; none of their outfielders has an OPS above .700 and they're still well within striking distance in the NL East.

Tiananmen Square

Chinese officials blocked video cameras from filming at Tiananmen Square on Wednesday... with umbrellas. Reporting from the square, CNN's John Vause was chased around by plainclothes Chinese officials who placed open umbrellas between CNN's cameras and shots of Tiananmen Square. As Vause points out, the men with umbrellas are wearing walkie-talkies and are members of China's vast security network guarding the square during the 20th anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen Square uprising.
The results of a Google search may vary greatly in different locations around the globe. Above is a search for tiananmen massacre – once on Google international Chinese, and once on Google China – in reference to the Chinese protests culminating in violence 20 years ago today. You will get similar differences when searching for Chinese phrases like June Fourth Incident.
This is due to Google having agreed to censor the China results when they decided to further move in the country with their technology in the years 2004 (starting with Google News) and 2006 (organic web search and other services), a compromise which they suggested they hope to be for the better, overall, but to which they do not provide many details to the outside world. “All history was a palimpsest, scraped clean and reinscribed exactly as often as was necessary.”

YouTwitFace

YouTwitFace will dominate the world in the year 3000. Conan told viewers tonight “In the year 3000 YouTube, Twitter & Facebook will merge into one super time wasting website called YouTwitFace.” And yes, some … face … has already reserved YouTwitFace.com And to no surprise, YouTwitFace is the biggest trending Tweet right now. Ironically, NBC clips for the Tonight Show are seen on Hulu.
Conan O' Brien has predicted that by the year 3000 YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook will merge into "one super time wasting website called YouTwitFace". Is there no other joke that Conan can invent? Huhum. Conan O' Brien has a joke (but joke is not necessarily funny) which is about Youtube, Twitter, and Facebook. He predicts that in the year 3000 the three will merge and become YouTwitFace.
What happens when Youtube, Twitter, Facebook decide to merge? Ask Conan O' Brien. For him it would be Youtwitface. No word what year YouHuluFace will be coming.
