Ray Mercer, a former WBO heavyweight champion who fought the likes of Larry Holmes, Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis during his boxing career, continued his foray into mixed martial arts Saturday night in Alabama.His opponent? Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia, who at 33 years old looked more washed-up than the 48-year-old Mercer. This fight was originally scheduled for May in Atlantic City, but Mercer couldn't get sanctioned by New Jersey's Athletic Commission.

It was the type of fight that makes us think of the movie "Diggstown" with James Woods and Lou Gossett Jr. Just watch Sylvia collapsed on Mercer's first punch nine seconds into the fight.
Former WBO heavyweight champion Ray Mercer, 15-years older and 50-pounds lighter than his opponent Tim Sylvia, needed just 10-seconds to knockout the 310-pound former UFC heavyweight champion on Saturday in the main event of Adrenaline III in Birmingham, Alabama.

UFC veterans Rich Clementi and Jeremy Horn both picked up first-round submission victories on the Adrenaline III undercard.Adrenaline III: “Bragging Rights” finally took place tonight (June 13) at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham, Ala., featuring a main event between former UFC champion Tim Sylvia and former WBO World heavyweight professional boxing champion and Olympic gold medalist, Ray Mercer.Talk about a huge setback for Sylvia. He was expected to crush the 48-year-old Mercer, who had just one MMA bout to his credit — a submission loss to Kimbo Slice of all people. But he didn’t.

Whoever said you shouldn’t judge a person by their looks is full of it, especially in regards to Tyler Weiman the alleged American Cat Serial Killer. Look at this dude. If ever there was someone who looks like a cat serial killer its this dude. The cat murders took place in South Florida in the communities of Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay. Tyler Weiman has been charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty, four counts of burglary and 19 counts of improper disposing of an animal body. Oh before I go on this Tyler Weiman is 18 years old. Apparently there is an NHL Hockey player with the same name and he has nothing to do with this.

Police said that since April 2009, 19 cats have been murdered. There are apparently more suspects in addition to Tyler Weiman. Chances are these suspects and Weiman will grow up and probably graduate to human murder and assault and will receive their graduate education in prison being someones bitch. Meow!A teenager was arrested early Sunday in the string of mutilations of cats that has horrified residents in south Miami-Dade County.Tyler Weinman is charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty, 19 counts of improperly disposing of an animal body and 4 counts of burglary, the Miami Herald reported.

Early Sunday, State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle announced the arrest in a statement.

"Our communities of Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay have been on edge for many weeks now because of the horrific and unspeakable slaughterings of many of their beloved feline pets," she said. "I sincerely hope that with his arrest, the residents will feel relieved and their cats will be safe once again. It is expected that the vicious crimes that have plagued these communities will not be repeated." Miami-Dade police on Saturday issues arrest warrants for suspects, WPLG Channel 10 in Mimai reported. Circuit Judge Darryl Trawick signed the arrest warrant for Weiman.

David Carradine funeral

David Carradine was laid to rest Saturday in Los Angeles following a funeral service attended by his 'Kill Bill' acting colleagues Lucy Liu, Daryl Hannah and Michael Madsen, along with Tom Selleck, Edward James Olmos, Jane Seymour and hundreds of mourners who turned out to Forest Lawn cemetery, according to a source who attended.The hearse carrying Carradine's casket was said to have been escorted to the ceremony by a group of motorcycle riders. According to the source, "The service had both sad and humorous moments. The tone was in keeping with how David lived his life. It was very down-to-earth."

David Carradine's brother Bruce told People.com, "There weren't a lot of tears, but there was a lot of laughter." Among the speakers at the service were Carradine's co-star from 'The Long Riders,' Stacy Keach, as well as Michael Madsen, according to the magazine. Two children of the late "Kung Fu" star performed a musical number on the harp and piano.The investigation into Carradine's mysterious death in a Bangkok hotel room continues in Thailand. He died earlier this month at the age of 72.

Mourners have arrived under overcast skies in Los Angeles for David Carradine's funeral.More than 400 people, including numerous actors, arrived at a cemetery on Saturday afternoon to honor the life of the "Kung Fu" and "Kill Bill" star.Services and the burial were private. Among those seen entering the memorial service were the actor's brother, Keith Carradine, longtime friend Michael Madsen and "Kill Bill" co-star Lucy Liu.
