Heartbreak and shock hit a Michigan high school basketball on Thursday, when before hundreds of spectators, Wes Leonard star player collapsed and died after a game-winning shot in overtime with his team closed a perfect season.

Leonard, 16, of Fennville High went to a cardiac arrest and did not respond after the game, say news reports. He rushed to the hospital around 9:15 in the Netherlands and 85 minutes later pronounced dead, according to hospital spokeswoman Deb Patterson. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
