Earlier today, we confirmed that Richardson was flown to New York from Canada, where she was injured in a fall during a private ski lesson. As speculation mounts about Natasha Richardson’s condition after a skiing accident, the hospitalized star’s mother, Vanessa Redgrave, was spotted at the NYC emergency room where Natasha is being treated. Earlier today, “The Insider” confirmed that Richardson had been flown to New York from Canada, where she was injured in a fall during a private ski lesson. Richardson, 45, is married to Liam Neeson, and they have two children together.
Natasha’s condition is critical, and she is likely to die. Her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, and other family members, are with her. On Tuesday, a private jet flew Natasha and Liam Neeson from Canada to New York, where family and friends have gathered for a vigil. Apparently on her way to the New York hospital she was “unconscious,” her pupils “non-reactive,” her skin was “pale” and she was suffering from “major head trauma.” Liam held her hand and stoked her face as he sat in silence.

Danny Boy lyrics

Danny Boy lyrics and listen to the legendary Paul Robeson deliver a stirring rendition of the St. Patrick’s Day favorite. The song has been sung and recorded by a remarkably diverse number of music artists from several musical genres. Among the song’s performers both past and present are Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke, Cher, Tony Bennett, Charlotte Church, Tony Bennett, Sarah Vaughn and SinĂ©ad O’Connor.
"Danny Boy" is a song whose lyrics were originally written for a different tune in 1910 by Frederick Weatherly, an English lawyer. In 1913 they were modified to fit the melody, Londonderry Air . By many Irish Americans and Irish Canadians Danny Boy is considered to be their unofficial signature song and is often included at Irish-American funerals.
Fire department bands throughout the country honor their fallen fire-fighters with this sentimental and bittersweet classic. While the song is supposed to be a message from a woman to a man, Weatherly provided an alternative "Eily dear" for male singers in 1918 as it is just as often sung by men. In addition, some people interpret the song as a message from a parent to a son going off to war.

American Legion

The American Legion does not and will not support any plan that seeks to bill a veteran for treatment of a service connected disability at the very agency that was created to treat the unique need of America’s veterans!” The Commander, clearly angered as he emerged from the session said, “This reimbursement plan would be inconsistent with the mandate ‘ to care for him who shall have borne the battle’ given that the United States government sent members of the armed forces into harm’s way, and not private insurance companies.
Commander Rehbein was among a group of senior officials from veterans service organizations joining the President, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki and Steven Kosiak, the overseer of defense spending at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The group’s early afternoon conversation at The White House was precipitated by a letter of protest presented to the President earlier this month.
The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization says he is “deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.
