joseph caoLast night was Rep. Joseph Cao (Cao Anh congressman) on behalf of Louisiana in favor of HR 3962 Joseph Cao joined House Democrats to go to health care reform Saturday. Cao is the only Republican to vote to support HR 3962. Cao knew his voice would immediately trigger questions. Until Saturday night Joseph Cao issued a press statement explaining the justification for long at the junction point for joining the 219 Democrats passhealth care reform.
Cao represents Orleans and Jefferson Parish. He said he listen to the people he serve and said seniors and children needed real options on primary care. “I read the versions of the House [health reform] bill. I listened to the countless stories of Orleans and Jefferson Parish citizens whose health care costs are exploding – if they are able to obtain health care at all. Louisianans needs real options for primary care, for mental health care, and for expanded health care for seniors and children.
He said he always put aside partisan dispute to choose their constituents' best interests. "I always say that we should put aside partisan disputes have to do the work of the people. My vote tonight is my priority based on what is good for voters."
