American actor and comedian Randall Rudy “Randy” Quaid (born October 1, 1950) and his wife (1963 born) Evzenya Motolanez whose nick name is Evi Randy Quaid, were found involved in a disheveled act and therefore, were arrested on Thursday the September 24, 2009.
It has been reported through the AP that the couple’s arrest occurred in West Texas on account of failing to pay the expenses incurred on their ‘luxurious stay’ at a hotel in Santa Barbara. The (California) hotel authorities claimed a bill amounting to $10,000 but the couple allegedly skipped the payment upon which the authorities involved the police. It was in early September that the police authorities received the complaint from the hotel and after sheriff’s detectives filed a case with the district attorney, the warrant was issued straight away.
According to the Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez who was talking to ‘The Associated Press,’ the couple was given a ride from a small West Texas jail (Marfa, Presidio County) where they were kept initially, to a nearby bank (as suggested by Randy) in his police car from where Randy would obtain the bail money ($40,000) against the felony warrant against the couple. But it was not before the couple had already spent some good hours in the jail. The warrant was for burglary, defrauding (an innkeeper at the hotel) as well as conspiracy that put Randy the older brother of actor Dennis Quaid and his wife in an embarrassing situation. Thanks heavens, Randy were not handcuffed while his visit to bank however, the actor did not receive any ‘special treatment.’
