Amber Alert

Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 9-year-old girl who they believe is may be in the trunk of a sport utility vehicle with her mother after being carjacked in suburban Philadelphia. The carjacking happened Tuesday afternoon following an accident in Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County. Authorities are looking for Sweeten's gold or silver GMC Yukon Denali, which has Pennsylvania license plate GYK-8998. They're also looking for a black 1990s Cadillac.

A 38-year-old Feasterville woman, Bonnie Sweeten, called 911 later Tuesday afternoon and said she was the victim of that carjacking. Sweeten told a dispatcher that she and her 9-year-old daughter, Julia Rakoczy, were in the trunk of a Cadillac. That call was traced to a cell phone tower in downtown Philadelphia. Police are still searching for a missing five-year-old girl who disappeared from her family's apartment complex Sunday evening.
One man, George Kennedy, and another unidentified person are in police custody in connection with the little girl's disappearance. Kennedy is a friend of the girl's mother, and is said to have a criminal record. Police sent out helicopters with high tech gear, and tracking dogs to search the area Tuesday and the Amber Alert remains in effect.
