rhodesia

rhodesia

Read the Republic of Rhodesia - now Zimbabwe - Tonight, South Africa, stimulated by memories of the street food you have not experienced first hand, but experimented with at home during the World Cup last year. South Africa (Zimbabwe is bordered in the north), famous for its street vendors - who cooks preparing and selling food carts are often made by hand for generations.

Africa's version of fried meat on a stick goes to the African sosatie name (pronounced "Sarti-salty). Similar to a grilled kebab, they are common in Zimbabwe - South Africa and Zimbabwe are known love barbecue (the so-called" Braak ").

I found this recipe made with marinated pork pieces and the pieces of lamb, mixed with bacon and whole dried apricots - I replaced the lamb with chicken, and streamlined the marinade, which is steamed before the sosatie brush when cooking on the grill. This combination of meat, hard-sweet apricots and crunchy bits mixed with onions, bacon is brilliant.
