This years US Golf Open has been nothing short of entertaining. One of the highlights from a generous fan offering David Paterson a beer, Paterson reacted with “Finally! Thank you.”You can read the full article at the Los Angeles Times of the ups and downs so far from the US Open and if you visit the official USGA site then you can view the leader board where you will find a surprise leader Lucas Glover who doesn’t even feature in the top 20 in the world.
Something that cannot be ignored is the popularity of Phil Mickelson, once again at the people’s open he is the people’s choice. The world number 2 is currently in T12, he will be hoping for better progression throughout the remainder of the tournament. What do you think about the surprise leader and who do you think will be triumphant and win the trophy? Think you have a good idea who is going to win this contest? Talk about it with other kids in a safe chatroom for kids.
It’s pouring rain at Bethpage Black, the American golf course that Tiger Woods is defending his remarkable 2008 US Open win on. Woods set out on his US Open quest early this morning on a course thinking he wasn’t going too far because of the heavy rain. However, the world’s best golfer managed to get six holes in before the course was closed and the golf tournament put on hold. "We probably played more holes than we thought," Tiger Woods said. The rain delay means golfers are going to have a long day tomorrow when the tournament resumes at 7:30 a.m. ET. That is if the rain stops!
