Jelani Jenkins

Jelani Jenkins spurns the advances of Florida, Notre Dame, and USC and instead chooses to honor an old man’s dying wish and head to Penn State. Penn State coaches will alert JoePa once he wakes up from his nap Florida's 2009 class is officially loaded. Jelani Jenkins' 11 a.m. pledge to Florida could bolster the Gators into the top five in almost every recruiting ranking, possibly higher.

Jenkins is Florida's highest-rated recruit this year and generally recognized as one of the 10 best high school players in the country. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Jenkins is only 16 years old, and he's the No. 10 recruit in the country on the Rivals 100 and the No. 9 recruit on the ESPNU 150 "It's a great program," Jenkins said. "I felt comfortable with all the coaches, all the players, and it's great weather."

Jenkins, who has cut the long hair he wore at last month's Under Armour All America Game, read a long speech thanking many people and detailing his recruiting process before finally announcing his decision National Signing Day is usually about the rich getting richer, and that's certainly the case with the national champion Florida Gators landing linebacker Jelani Jenkins of Our Lady Of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland.

Faye Dunaway

Actress Faye Dunaway arrives on the red carpet before a screening of the film "What Just Happened?" during the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France on May 25, 2008. The screening marked the close of this year's festival The Oscar-winning actress is best known for her roles in the movies "Chinatown," "Network" and "Bonnie and Clyde.

Hilary Duff clearly had enough of Faye Dunaway's supposed criticism about whether she has the chops to take on one of the Oscar winner's most iconic roles, the gun-toting Bonnie Parker, in a new flick titled The Story of Bonnie and Clyde Duff's diss stems from Dunaway's alleged remark, upon hearing the news that the former Lizzie McGuire starlet would be playing her old part, "Couldn't they at least cast a real actress

During a break from filming a guest spot on the set of Ghost Whisperer, Duff told E!'s Daily 10, "I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is," regarding the Hollywood legend (repeat, Hollywood legend), adding, "I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too Here's hoping this little war of words ends more peacefully than Bonnie herself did.

Dave Mason

Dave Mason at BB King's in Manhattan in December, and though it wasn't his best show. But it was truly heads and tails above most of the other shows we see. Mason first hit it big here with Traffic in 1967 and released his first solo album Alone Together in 1970. He has been making some of the best and most interesting music ever since.

He even joined Fleetwood Mac for a time, and participated in one of their best albums, Time (1995). I'd even had the pleasure of standing on stage in the mid-70s at one of his shows, and he just blew me away (and, believe me, I was already blown away!). I gave him quite the historical write up several columns back and believe me, I meant every word of it. The man's music is awe inspiring.

But in retrospect, I guess a day doesn't go by when he doesn't hear one of his songs on the radio. The new album, 26 Letters - 12 Notes, I am very, very happy to say, has songs that mark showcase him at his peak. The leadoff track "Good 2U" just sizzles; it's classic Mason. "Let Me Go" and the soulful "How Do I Get To Heaven" are standouts too.
