Shain Gandee, one of the stars of MTV's reality show "Buckwild" was found dead along with two other people Kanawha County, West Virginia, authorities said Monday.
"It is very sad and tragic event," Kanawha County Commissioner Kent carper said. "We live in a very small community. Thoughts and prayers are with the family Gandee."
Gandee, 21, was found dead in a car with his uncle, Dwight David Gandee, 48, and Donald Robert Myers, 27, authorities said.
"Earlier in the day after the release of Shine missing Gandee, Office Kanawha County Sheriff's Office received word of the disabled vehicle in a wooded area near Thaxted Hollow, Sissonville, WV Kanawha County," the sheriff's office in a statement. "The representatives and members of Sissonville Volunteer Fire ATV use to access the vehicle, a 1984 Ford Bronco belonging Gandee family. Redeemable was a muddy area along the beaten track. Were the bodies of three people inside."
In a future release of the sheriff's office said the car partially submerged in mud. It was not hard but straight to the muffler does not reach the surface.
Mud covered the lower part of the passenger door Bronco, but the driver's side, where the junior sat Gandee free, the sheriff's office said.
