belichick

belichick
New England coach Bill Belichick thought his team to win on Sunday evening for one more game. Patriots need 2 yards on first down, and do not care who they go with just six points and stood at 28 yards with 2:08 remaining.
Belichick took the shot. And did it ever backfire on the coach hailed in New England as a genius for his three Super Bowl triumphs. Tom Brady's pass to Kevin Faulk was complete but came up short, allowing the Indianapolis Colts to cash in on the short field for the game-winning touchdown and a 35-34 comeback victory that was as improbable as it was stunning at Lucas Oil Stadium.
"We tried to win the game in this game," Belichick said when the first obvious question is asked for his comments. "We had a good game. We were complete. How the results which we are, but I do not know I do not get a yard."

Colts vs Cardinals

Colts vs Cardinals
The 2009 NFL season is well underway now and last night, saw the game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Arizona Cardinals. And according to reports from examiner.com, the Colts won, with a 31-10 victory over the Arizona team. And the Colts victory was of course helped along, by their quarterback Peyton Manning’s four touchdown passes. After the game, Manning said that it was important for him to stay patient throughout the game.
Manning appeared to have a bit of a slow start, but obviously picked his game up further on and took his team to victory. The Colts were falling behind 3-0 after the first quarter, but soon changed it around, with an 18-0 lead 18 point lead in the 2nd. On the field where little brother Eli led the New York Giants to a Super Bowl triumph two seasons ago, Peyton Manning threw four touchdown passes in his first game there, three in the second quarter, to power the Indianapolis Colts past Kurt Warner and the turnover-plagued Arizona Cardinals 31-10.
The game featured two of the most prolific quarterbacks in NFL history in Manning and Warner. But while Manning’s line gave him time to carve up the Cardinals’ defense, the 38-year-old Warner was under a fierce rush all night long. ”I think that was the key to the game, personally,” said Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney , who was in Warner’s face throughout before leaving with a quadriceps injury late in the third quarter. ”Our offensive line did a great job protecting Peyton, giving him time to find his receivers. And then I think collectively as a defense we put pressure on Warner and had him uncomfortable all game.”
