LisaRaye's publicist has denied rampant reports across the black blogosphere that the actress is dating Rev. Al Sharpton. The rumors started flying after the two were photographed holding hands at various events over the past several days. Gossip site Media Take Out on Tuesday said they were spotted looking "cozy" at Roland Martin’s Congressional Black Caucus party in Washington D.C. They were also photographed walking through an airport and at Sharpton's Monday appearance on "WWE Raw."

But the outings were strictly business, according to Jeter. The two are involved in the Obama administration's vision of educational innovation and are promoting a tour that will take them through various cites that serve as solid examples of school reform. "LisaRaye is involved in the White House Education Tour with Education Secretary Arne Duncan, former GOP House speaker Newt Gingrich and Rev. Al Sharpton because she has a foundation, Radiant Jewels, that gives scholarships to young girls," Jeter explained to EURweb exclusively. "So [the White House Education Tour] is a direct tie-in to what she's already been doing."

The Education Tour kicked off yesterday (Sept. 29) in Philadelphia, with stops booked in New Orleans on Nov. 3 and Baltimore on Nov. 13. And just to be clear, Jeter says that her client and Rev. Al are not an item, Sharpton never counseled LisaRaye through her divorce with Michael Misick as previously reported, and he has never served as her spiritual advisor. "Every time you see LisaRaye with some person, don't assume that she's dating them," Jeter said. "There's a bigger picture to what she's doing."

Haven’t received your Google Wave invite yet? You’re not alone. Thousands of users around the world are still awaiting their invitation to Google’s new communication platform. At this point, it’s not clear whether demand far exceeds supply or Google (Google) is simply still waiting to open the flood gates, but if you really can’t wait, at least one invite has already found its way to eBay.

The item has already attracted 19 bids, pushing the price up to $70 (there are two days left on the auction). Mind you, for the moment it’s the only Wave invite auction on eBay, a far cry from the mini-industry that emerged around Gmail (Gmail) invites back in 2004. Nonetheless, the fact that a free web service can still attract any significant interest in an auction does show the enormous level of hype that’s been built up for Wave.

Whether or not users will continue to be allowed to sell invites is unclear though, as Google Wave’s (Google Wave) terms say that users are prohibited from “Sell, trade, resell or otherwise exploit the Service for any unauthorized commercial purpose,” though a number of Google Voice (Google Voice) invites can also be found on the auction service. Following on from the breaking news yesterday that Toyota are issuing their biggest recall in the U.S over problems with floor mats, we have an article for you to read now which compares Toyota’s recall to other recalls that have happened this year. Over at CarGurus, they have played down the seriousness of the floormat issue, saying that it is just a ‘minor’ problem and can be solved simply by removing the sidemat from affected vehicles.

Then they have compared this recall with other incidents that have caused companies to recall vehicles. These include General Motor’s recall of 1.5 million autos in April over the possibility of electrical fires. Then they have highlighted Chrysler’s recall of 13,350 minivans in February, again due to the risk of fire due to faulty electrical circuits. Personally we don’t agree with CarGurus’ admission that this latest Toyota Recall is a ‘minor’ problem. Its good to finally see Toyota willing to address the issue.

Toyota is forecasting a 450 billion yen ($5.0 billion) loss for the fiscal year through March 2010, although hopes surfaced have lately that the worst may be over, with sales recovering enough to allow Toyota to project a narrower loss. The recall will affect 2007-2010 model year Toyota Camry, 2005-2010 Toyota Avalon, 2004-2009 Toyota Prius, 2005-2010 Tacoma, 2007-2010 Toyota Tundra, 2007-2010 Lexus ES350 and 2006-2010 Lexus IS250 and IS350. I agree with the analysts–a floor mat recall isn’t a deal killer for Toyota. However, it does open the door for other companies (Honda? Hyundai?) to market their superior quality in an attempt to lure in concerned carbuyers.

Tsunami Damage in American Samoa Following Pacific Earthquake on Video This video, posted earlier today on YouTube, shows the incredible damage in Leone, American Samoa. Houses were washed away. Cars were left stranded in trees. Bloomberg is now reporting that at least 141 were killed. “You can imagine the sheer force,” the narrator says. In this second video from the Wall Street Journal, Simon Louisson from Dow Jones Newswires in New Zealand, describes the damage and reports that New Zealanders prepared for the possibility of a tsunami strike.

Deep under the ocean, somewhere midway between the two island groups, a shift in the restless Pacific plates had triggered a major earthquake - magnitude measuring 8.0 to 8.3 on the Richter scale. Sleepers were shaken awake. Early risers watched as the sea suddenly retreated, the tide sucking the water way down the beach, the inhale before the exhale. There was little time to run. In some places alarms sounded. In others, local men began shouting and banging on gas cylinders - sounding them like church bells - in an urgent, improvised alert. Some locals dragged their heels, thinking it was just another tsunami trial alarm. When realisation dawned, the panic came.

At least 100 people have died as a result of Tuesday's earthquake and tsunami. Seventy Seven have been reported dead in Samoa, twenty five in American Samoa, along with six in Tonga. Officials fear that the death toll will continue to rise as reports trickle in from outlying villages and islands. Phone lines were damaged in some areas, or simply overwhelmed with the volume of calls from relatives seeking information on loved ones.

The tsunami hit American Samoa 24 minutes after the earthquake. The Samoan islands lie 125 miles north of the epicenter. The earthquake was felt in Samoa and American Samoa.

Last night's Panthers vs Cowboys Monday Night Football game was the perfect reason why every sports fan should own a DVR as the score at halftime was 7 - 0. (And it 29 minutes to get that score on the board) It picked up from the extremely boring first half with a little more scoring in the second half as the Cowboys came back to win 21 - 7. I usually DVR sporting events and start watching about 45 minutes after they start so I can skip over the commercials. Last night I found myself fast forwarding over the put you to sleep football that was being played in the first half.

I'll should just skip to the second half highlights as there is basically nothing to report except on how long each punt was in the first half. The only score of the first half came with 1:03 left in the second quarter as Jake Delhomme connected with Dante Rosario on a 25 yard touchdown pass to put the Panthers up 7 - 0. In the second half the Dallas Cowboys' offense picked it up as they put two solid drives together for a field goal and a touchdown. They took the lead as Tashard Choice ran it into the end zone from 5 yards out to give the Cowboys the lead 10 - 7. The Cowboys tacked on more points with a long 78 yard drive that ended with 12:02 in the fourth quarter with a field goal.

The Carolina Panther had absolutely no offense in the second half their six possessions in the went punt; punt; punt; punt; interception; and fumble. Pretty impressive...you wonder why they are 0 - 3. Any hope of them coming back from the 13 - 7 deficit went to the grave when Terence Newman picked off Jake Delhomme's pass and raced 27 yards into the end zone. After the two point conversion the Cowboys lead 21 - 7 with 5:07 to play, and the way the Panthers offense was playing that lead was safe. So the Cowboys go to 2 - 1 and stay one game behind the undefeated NY Giants in their division. The Panthers fall to 0 - 3 and put themselves in a huge hole in their division, now three games behind the undefeated New Orleans Saints.

He also said separating wholesale and retail banking would be “very costly to the economy.” Winters “has been viewed by competitors and peers as a really strong professional,” said Michael Holland, chairman and founder of Holland & Co. in New York, which oversees more than $4 billion including JPMorgan shares. His departure “is a big surprise to me.”

Staley, 52, joined JPMorgan in 1979 and worked in the investment bank for 20 years, moving on to run the asset- management business in 2001. Staley’s new job signals he is one of the board’s top picks to succeed Dimon, according to a person briefed on the management decision. While Dimon is expected to stay at least another five years, the decision was made to round out Staley’s management experience, the person said, declining to be identified because the decisions are confidential.

A month prior to the theatrical screening of "This Is It", Sony Pictures has made available the tickets to the special Michael Jackson documentary. Starting on Sunday, September 27, the tickets to the limited two-week engagement are offered for purchase at the documentary's web site, thisisit-movie.com. The movie documenting the King of Pop's final performance rehearsals days before his death will debut simultaneously in 15 cities around the globe on October 28, but a sneak peek will be presented at the new Regal Cinemas Stadium 14 the night before on October 27. The Associated Press, in the meantime, reported that the advance screenings have been sold out. 3,000 tickets to the Los Angeles shows have been snatched by fans within two hours early Sunday.

"'This Is It' may go down as the greatest concert no one got a chance to see," the movie's director and Michael's longtime collaborator, Kenny Ortega, promised. "But with this film we get a rare portrait of Michael as he prepares for his final curtain call." Jeff Blake, Sony's worldwide marketing and distribution chairman, added, "Michael Jackson has an army of fans everywhere round the world. By rolling out this film simultaneously worldwide, we are giving audiences an incredible opportunity to join together in celebration of Michael Jackson's incredible career."

"This Is It" offers a behind-the-scenes footage of Jackson preparing for a series of the O2 London shows he was rehearsing when he died June 25. It will compile more than 100 hours of video footage concert promoter AEG Live shot during April, May and June 2009. Reuters claimed that a source close to the project has mentioned the planned 3-D sequence for the movie will not make it into the final reel.

The new 'Saturday Night Live' cast member that dropped the F-Bomb this weekend will NOT have to worry about a different F-word: "Fired". Jenny Slate was performing in her first show as a cast member of 'SNL', when she got a little too into character in a sketch called "Biker Chick Chat" and said the word some call "the mother of all swear words".

That caused some speculation that Slate's first show would be her last, but an NBC spokeswoman says she will NOT be fired. The slip was not seen here, they dubbed in a different word for the west coast broadcast. It's not the first time the word has slipped on the show. Comic Charles Rocket did the same thing in 1981, when he was a new cast member. But he was fired the next week, had a rough time in show business after that, and killed himself in 2005.

The Brooklyn funny lady, Tehran-born, raised in California comedian, and SNL newbie has attracted a lot of attention when she dropped an f-bomb, apparently by accident. She was in the middle of a SNL skit when she let go of a sentence; “You stood up for yourself, and I f—ing love you for that.” Over the years, people have been fired for saying these things on live TV, including Charles Rocket in 1981 and Norm MacDonald in 1997. No news yet on if Jenny Slate is being fired for her slip of the tongue.

This past weeekend was no different, fourth-ranked Mississippi caught by surprise, beaten 16-10 by South Carolina on Thursday night. Ole Miss drops in the college football rankings Week 5 to No. 21 in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the USA Today Coaches poll. Manning appeared to have a bit of a slow start, but obviously picked his game up further on and took his team to victory. The Colts were falling behind 3-0 after the first quarter, but soon changed it around, with an 18-0 lead 18 point lead in the 2nd. On the field where little brother Eli led the New York Giants to a Super Bowl triumph two seasons ago, Peyton Manning threw four touchdown passes in his first game there, three in the second quarter, to power the Indianapolis Colts past Kurt Warner and the turnover-plagued Arizona Cardinals 31-10.

The game featured two of the most prolific quarterbacks in NFL history in Manning and Warner. But while Manning’s line gave him time to carve up the Cardinals’ defense, the 38-year-old Warner was under a fierce rush all night long. ”I think that was the key to the game, personally,” said Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney , who was in Warner’s face throughout before leaving with a quadriceps injury late in the third quarter. ”Our offensive line did a great job protecting Peyton, giving him time to find his receivers. And then I think collectively as a defense we put pressure on Warner and had him uncomfortable all game.”

The transaction will help triple sales from services to about $10 billion, Xerox said today in a statement. The total price of the cash-and-stock deal is about 34 percent more than Dallas-based Affiliated Computer’s closing price Sept. 25. The acquisition is Chief Executive Officer Ursula Burns’s first since taking over the world’s largest maker of high-speed color printers in July. Burns’s predecessor, Anne Mulcahy, helped Xerox avoid bankruptcy this decade by paring debt, exiting unprofitable businesses and shedding jobs.

Affiliated Computer jumped $7.43, or 16 percent, to $54.68 on the New York Stock Exchange at 9:52 a.m. Xerox, based in Norwalk, Connecticut, fell $1.30, or 15 percent, to $7.67, the biggest intraday drop since March. The stock had climbed 13 percent this year before today. The transaction helps Burns expand into a market Xerox values at about $150 billion and gives her a foothold in managing administrative operations for multiple arms of the U.S. government. “With this combination, our tool box just got a lot bigger,” Affiliated Computer CEO Lynn Blodgett said in an interview. Blodgett will run the business as a unit of Xerox and report to Burns, 51.

Almost 90 percent of Affiliated Computer’s new business contracts last year came from outsourcing, or managing operations for other companies. Total sales rose 5.9 percent to $6.5 billion in the year ending June 30. Global spending on technology products will fall 8 percent this year, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. said this month. Mulcahy, who took over in 2001, cut at least 20,000 jobs to revive Xerox after the bursting of the technology bubble at the start of the decade left Xerox with mounting debt and its first annual loss in five years. Under Mulcahy, Xerox stopped making personal copiers and started focusing on laser printers, as well as color printing.

Tebow’s head hit the leg of Florida right tackle Marcus Gilbert as he fell to the ground. He lay motionless for several minutes before sitting up. He walked off the field with help to the bench, where his parents came down from the stands to join him.

As Tebow was being carted from the sideline, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner appeared to be vomiting. He was replaced by backup John Brantley on Florida’s next possession. Tebow had rushed for 123 yards and two scores and added another 103 yards passing and a touchdown before the injury. He started despite having respiratory issues that force him and several teammates to take a separate plane to Lexington on Friday. Tebow, cornerback Joe Haden, safety Major Wright and others were isolated on a separate plane Friday according to a person familiar with Florida’s travel plans. They rejoined the top-ranked Gators at the hotel, and all were listed as active for the game. The person, who requested anonymity, was not authorized to discuss players’ health.

The eighth annual Tunnel to Towers Run is is going forward tomorrow, despite a fire in the UPS truck which was carrying registration materials, trophies, and thousands of t-shirts for the runners. Firefighters brought the t-shirts to the Hilton Garden Hotel on Staten Island, where Richard Nicotra, Blanca Cubides and William Fonseca of the hotel's staff and firefighter volunteers worked through the night laundering and ironing fourteen of the eighteen thousand t-shirts which were caught in the fire.

The run honors firefighter Stephen Siller, who was off duty but ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel in full gear to get to Manhattan on 9/11 when his car was blocked from going through the tunnel. Siller was among the firefighters who died in the Towers. The run starts at 9:30 tomorrow morning at the Brooklyn entrance to the tunnel.

Tim Tebow Hurt,Tim Tebow Injury:Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was injured after being on the receiving end of a brutal — but legal — hit from Kentucky defensive end Taylor Wyndham Saturday, staying down on the field for several anxious moments before eventually walking off the field under his own power. Wyndham rushed in virtually untouched from his right defensive end position and drilled Tebow when he was looking in the opposite direction — and as Tebow went down, his head was hit by the leg of a Florida offensive lineman. Tebow at first appeared to have suffered a head or neck injury in the collision, and the entire Florida team walked toward the field to show support for their leader. But after a couple minutes being attended to by Florida’s medical personnel, Tebow eventually sat up, eliciting a huge cheer from the crowd at Kentucky’s Commonwealth Stadium. The game was in the third quarter with Florida up 34-7 when Tebow went down, and he won’t return. Tebow initially sat on the bench but after vomiting he was taken to the locker room. Tebow was already ailing heading into Saturday’s game, having been diagnosed with what Florida is describing as a respiratory problem but what some media reports have speculated could be swine flu.

Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien was injured on the set of his show Friday and was taken to hospital to undergo tests. According to the network, O’Brien hit his head while he was attempting to do a stunt. It was determined by first responders on the scene that the head injury was more than a bump and O’Brien was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. O”Brien, who some online have claims is dead, is by all accounts is fine and said in a statement that “Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice.” As filming for the show hadn’t been completed, NBC re-run an old show instead.

The network released a brief statement that they indicate came directly from the 46-year-old comedian’s mouth: “Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice.” We’ve included video of some of the comedian’s other stunts in a segment called ‘Conan O’Brien Moments’ below.

I’m packing up tonight to head out early in the morning to travel to the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C.! I cannot wait. After an exceptionally tough week at work and being treated for strep throat, this is exactly what I need. I’m making plans to listen to John Irving, Judy Blume, Jeannette Wells, and David Wroblewski speak. I’m going to try to get John Irving and possibly David Wroblewski’s autographs, but after my experience last year, I know that anything might happen.

In addition to a wonderful day of books and authors, I am going to get the opportunity to meet some of my wonderful book blogging friends! That, to me, is almost more exciting than the books and the authors. So many of them have become my friends and I can’t wait until I can say they’re my friends IRL as well. We’ll all be celebrating at one book festival or another (there’s one in Baltimore this weekend, too!) and then meeting up for dinner at 6. You are sure to hear all about my experience on Sunday. Actor Randy Quaid arrested and bailed! 1950 born American actor Randy Quaid alongside his wife former model & actress Evi Randy were arrested on account of non-payment for their ‘luxuries’ to a Santa Barbara hotel. $20,000 bail each enabled the release of the couple late on Thursday. American actor and comedian Randall Rudy “Randy” Quaid (born October 1, 1950) and his wife (1963 born) Evzenya Motolanez whose nick name is Evi Randy Quaid, were found involved in a disheveled act and therefore, were arrested on Thursday the September 24, 2009.

It has been reported through the AP that the couple’s arrest occurred in West Texas on account of failing to pay the expenses incurred on their ‘luxurious stay’ at a hotel in Santa Barbara. The (California) hotel authorities claimed a bill amounting to $10,000 but the couple allegedly skipped the payment upon which the authorities involved the police. It was in early September that the police authorities received the complaint from the hotel and after sheriff’s detectives filed a case with the district attorney, the warrant was issued straight away.

According to the Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez who was talking to ‘The Associated Press,’ the couple was given a ride from a small West Texas jail (Marfa, Presidio County) where they were kept initially, to a nearby bank (as suggested by Randy) in his police car from where Randy would obtain the bail money ($40,000) against the felony warrant against the couple. But it was not before the couple had already spent some good hours in the jail. While filming the movie — costarring his longtime pal Jon Favreau and directed by another friend, Peter Billingsley — Vaughn spent time in exotic Bora Bora with his soon-to-be wife and members of his family. "We had a lot of fun, which was good, and my sister was there and my nephew was there," he said. And his buddies have given their approval. "I'm very happy for Vince. This morning reports emerged that the rapper got engaged sometime in the past week. Soulja Boy, or DeAndre Ramone Way, popped the question to his video model girlfriend Rosa Acosta, a Dominican native and ballet superstar. One of Soulja Boy's famous friends evidently leaked the info.

Really, the leak wouldn't be too big of a deal, considering Soulja spreads his updates around the world wide Web. Soulja regularly takes to his Twitter follow base of 1.6 million followers, but the engagement last week doesn't appear to be on his Twitter radar. And since the news hit the press, he's not addressing it. Instead he's saying been out partying with Lebron James and Dollicia, the friend of Janero Marchand (who's insisting he's not dating Rihanna). The social circles of hip-hop's elite are big, making theirs a small world. No wonder Soulja Boy can't keep a secret.

But it begs the question: at 19, is Soulja Boy ready to get married? When you're tweeting that you fell in love with a model at Lebron's James' party last night, you should probs stay single. But if the wedding plans go underway, we know what song will make supermoms line up on the dance floor.

iPhone MMS Update: Details of AT&T release As most of you will be aware, the highly anticipated MMS update from AT&T is expected to go live today at somepoint this morning for all iPhone users. While we have confirmed that some of you have already received the update, many are still waiting for the update to appear. As we reported to you yesterday, AT&T confirmed that the update is ‘expected’ to go live towards the ‘late morning’ to iPhone customers on the Pacific time zone. Well thats not too long away now, so you should start checking out iTunes to see if the update has become available.

It’s quite a strange situation, as we know there are a lot of you who have already unlocked the MMS features with no problems, but for others, this process is proving to be quite difficult. This morning I heard the story of Mitrice Richardson of California. She is a 24 year old black woman who was arrested last week at a Malibu restaurant when she did not have enough money to pay her bill. The police searched her car and found a small amount of marijuana. The car was impounded and she was taken to the police station. She was released at about 1a.m. and she reportedly had no money on her. That was September 17th she has not been seen since.

"In an interview, her father, Michael Richardson, questioned the Sheriff's Department's decision to release her without knowing for certain whether she was intoxicated or had arranged for transportation. "They allowed her to walk out of that facility and down that road in the pitch black night," he said. "That's not right. Now, I just want to find my child." Her parents along with their lawyer appeared on the Today Show. I commend the Today Show for bringing attention to this case. I can not help but think of the amount of media that the Annie Le case received. She was the Yale medical student who was seen entering a lab at the university and not seen leaving it. The police reportedly worked on this story by their own account 24/7 and they found a suspect.

This girl was allowed to walk out into the night unescorted. They had her car so they knew she had no means of transportation. Her lawyer suggested if her name had been Lohan or Spears she would have received a ride home. Lauer asked her mother whether Letrice was "street savvy." Her mother said no she was not; she actually had lived a sheltered life full of positive things. I am going to give Lauer the benefit of the doubt. The term street savvy indicates knowledge of the street. It is someone who knows all the angles and has the ability to make something out of nothing. Middle class and upper middle class black children are really no more street smart than their white counterparts.

NFL analyst Sean Salisbury, who clearly has had it up to here (with here being as high as your hand can reach, plus a few more miles) sent Deadspin a series of rambling e-mails indicating he would be suing the site and others (including ESPN) for ruining his reputation. (We would include the particulars of the why and the what, but would that just make us another defendant?). He also says he will be writing a tell-all book about his time at ESPN.

In truth, we're not all that surprised that something like this has happened. Sports figures/personalities still haven't adjusted to having their off-field antics so heavily scrutinzed or publicized. If one site was going to bear the brunt of a backlash, it would be Deadspin -- which has, in our opinion, leaned more heavily on tabloid-type stories in recent months while still trying to be a gossip site, offbeat sports site and real journalism site. Deadspin has always carried itself with a certain brazen attitude -- necessary when trying to carve out a niche, but less necessary now.

Salisbury is the perfect case study. He was known to be brash in his playing days, he turned that into a post-playing career with ESPN, lost that gig, lost a radio gig, and now seemingly has less to lose than most. His meltdown yesterday -- and yes, it was a meltdown, regardless of what he might think it was -- was stunning in its scope but not in its mere existence. Perhaps it will best be remembered as a sign of the times. As Stu noted -- in 140 characters or less! -- one of the wonders of the modern age is watching a career self-immolate in real time. Geez Louise.

But Mackenzie Phillips' affair with John Phillips was not, she says, as simple as all the news headlines make it seem. Nor was it necessarily as bad. Her father was not a monster, and that 10-year “affair” Mackenzie is said to have had with him is not easily categorized, the troubled star told Oprah.

“My father was not a bad man. He was a very sick man,” she said. "If anyone out there can possibly separate [John Phillips'] body of work from his personal demons, I think that would be the honorable thing to do." Mackenzie Phillips, 49, added that her father - with whom she says she also did drugs - "didn't set out to hurt me. He did the best with what he had." She also reports that their relationship - which she details in her new book, High on Arrival - lasted 10 years until she ended it when she got pregnant. A pregnancy that ended with her aborting her father's love child.

"To call it a 10-year relationship is not correct," she said in another interview on Today. "It was a warped event, that occurred over time. At 18, I was molested. Maybe three years later, I started waking up with my pants around my ankles." She told Oprah Winfrey that she had an abortion, which her father paid for, "and I never let him touch me again" after dealing with the ramifications of that. Though she says she does not blame herself for her the incest, Mackenzie Phillips says, "I believe I have some accountability for what went down after." Some of her family is standing by her, including Mackenzie's half-sister Chynna Phillips, who says she first heard about this 11 years after it ended.

A part-time Census Bureau field worker was found hanged in Kentucky Sept. 12 with the word "fed" scrawled across his chest, according to a law enforcement source. Bill Sparkman, 51, who was white, was found at the Daniel Boone National Forest in rural southeast Kentucky, the Associated Press first reported Wednesday night. The FBI is assisting state and local police with their investigation, the law enforcement source told The Post's Spencer S. Hsu. The source was unsure of the cause of death.

It is a federal crime to attack a federal worker during or because of his federal job. "It’s a tragedy. Our hearts and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this worker," Office of Personnel Management Director John Berry said Thursday morning. He has spoken frequently about the denigration of federal employees. "I’m going to be closely following this law enforcement action. If this is an attack on a federal employee, I can assure you that no resources will be spared to find the perpetrators," Berry said. "We cannot tolerate essentially domestic terrorism, if that is what this is. But until we understand the law enforcement investigation, we don’t know."

Threats are more common than actual attacks on federal employees, Berry said. He noted that people regularly threaten federal judges and their families, IRS agents and federal law enforcement officers. "It’s also a reality for many categories of federal workers so we take any threat of violence seriously," he said. Sparkman, an Eagle scout, moved to southeast Kentucky to be a local director for the Boy Scouts of America, his mother told the AP. He most recently served as a substitute teacher in Laurel County and earned extra money as a Census field worker.
