Miyuki Hatoyama has reportedly expressed her desire to meet the first lady of US, Michelle Obama. The soon to be first lady has reportedly stated that she shares a common “sensibility” with Michelle Obama.Miyuki, a former actress who is inclined to “spirituality” has reportedly told the Japanese media that she is keen to meet the wife of the US President Barack Obama, who is supposed to visit Tokyo during the latter part of this year. “I think she is so natural and has a kind of sensibility similar to mine. If I can have the chance to meet her, I would look forward to it,” said an overwhelmed Miyuki during her interview with Kyodo news agency.
Miyuki seemed overjoyed following her husband, Yukio Hatoyama’s landmark election victory at the weekend. Yukio, praising her wife reportedly said, “There is no limit to her cheerfulness.” While most of the politician’s wives of Japan are quite conservative enough while expressing their emotions, Miyuki is a celebrity in her own right.
Miyuki is known for her inspirational talks and has reportedly appeared on the television, discussing on a wide array of issues, ranging from spirituality to politics. Miyuki propagated that her husband’s coming to office would bring a new dawn to the nation thereby bidding farewell to the prolonged 50 year old regime and rephrasing politics in the hands of the Democratic Party Of Japan. Miyuki’s role in Japan’s politics has been significant enough and is considered of having played a pivotal role in Japan’s election.
