Meredith Vieira
Meredith Vieira's departure "The Today Show" this morning was subdued, the same Kate Middleton wedding was undervalued. Long Goodbye Vieira repeated in folded hands, an emotional goodbye to a lot of talk about family taped tributes to the NBC stars like Brian Williams and Jay Leno, an extensive video of her "Today" to highlight the moments and the last one in the Canyon of Heroes, a brilliant and weeping Vieira walking and running through an army of fans and supporters of colleagues.
Vieira's departure was dominated by 7-9 hours in the core segment of the top-rated morning show, is an increasing amount of attention usually given to, say, tornadoes Joplin. The producers had given him so much airtime ran out of the material and in the final minutes of the show was again running a few minutes earlier recordings.
Vieira himself looked overwhelmed and touched her somewhere, he repeated what he had said in recent interviews that he is leaving the show was "a difficult decision, but the right decision." Newsreader Ann Curry, who is higher in the cohost Vieira, Vieira said, always in close connection with the audience, and that both his tenure and his departure has taught us to "live our values."
