Three people were killed and two are missing after a natural gas explosion in downtown Allentown, Pennsylvania.

According to Police Chief Roger MacClean, the victim's body was discovered in a terraced house that was home of the couple in the 70s. The condition of the body has hindered efforts by the victim. It was not immediately clear where the other two victims were found. The three victim age range of 4 months and 79 years old, authorities said in a press conference this morning.

The explosion rocked the area from 10:45 am on Wednesday, touching off a fire burned in the early morning hours that the firefighters dredged in snow and ice to prevent an underground pipeline feeding the flames.The size of the explosion and fire forced the evacuation of hundreds of residents. The cause of the explosion is being investigated.
